About NRG Gives
Since 2016, the NRG Gives program has donated over $1.1 million to 59 local nonprofits in support of their incredible work. Each year, NRG employees nominate worthy organizations, and we ask our community to help choose the winners. The top 4 organizations with the largest number of votes will each receive $15,000 to power their mission and change lives for the better.
Associated Charities
Associated Charities is a small-town nonprofit that is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through various support programs and services. By fostering collaboration and empowerment, the organization addresses local needs and promote the spirit of volunteerism among the residents within the community.
Carson's Hope
Carson’s Hope is a nonprofit that helps families dealing with pediatric cancer. The organization helps families in financial distress during difficult times as well as pays for all outpatient parking at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh hematology/ oncology clinic.
The Center for Great Expectations
The Center for Great Expectations is a continuum of care, including residential and community based in-home programs that provides transformational relational health treatment for pregnant and parenting adolescents, women, and their children. The organization's goal is to break the generational cycle of neglect, abuse, poverty, addiction, and trauma.
Holiday Express
Holiday Express believes no one should be alone during the holidays, especially children and individuals facing mental and physical challenges, serious illness, homelessness, and other struggles. The organization hosts high-energy parties that bring joy and hope to 27,000 people most in need and often forgotten during the holiday season.
